Dog Training Cinder to perform the down/stay with some distractions.

Dog training Cinder is fun. She's a smart dog and loves to learn. She is catching on fast. Here she is learning the down/stay with distractions from the other dogs in the kennel.

Teaching Cinder Down, with some distractions. (notice dogs in kennel)

While Dog Training remember to be consistent. Here I'm teaching Cinder the down position, with some distractions. She's doing pretty good for her first time with distractions. Note how she breaks the down position, this is expected in the early stages of training. I gave her a no reward marker ("EH, EH") and she went back down.

Dog Training Cinder to Sit/Stay.

Dog Training Cinder to Sit/Stay with some distractions, (notice dogs in kennel). As a Dog Trainer I started her out in an area with no distractions.

Dog Training Cinder to walk without pulling.

As a dog trainer I teach her an alternate behavior that's more rewarding than the bad behavior she has. (pulling) She's doing pretty good here for just starting to learn. In obedience training I train a dog to sit every time I stop until it becomes automatic. This helps with Therapy and Service dogs as well.

Dog Training Riley to overcome distractions

Riley is ready to introduce distractions. We took him to Ephraim Walmart to work on extended sit. This is how it went.
